Finding a digital Style.
The Intersection of Digital and Analog
2025–Photogrpahic Experiments
«The Intersection of Analog and Digital Photography: Winter Sun and Material Projections» explores the hybridity between digital capture and analog materiality. To enrich digital files without resorting to superficial nostalgia, the project utilizes black-diffusion filtration, bespoke color-grading, and adapted Leica color science to achieve organic micro-contrasts and simulated halation. This technical framework is applied to a thematic study of high-contrast winter sunlight, capturing rare moments of warmth as a psychological counterpoint to seasonal gravity. In a literal synthesis of both mediums, the digital images are transferred onto physical slide film and displayed via an analog projector; the machine's warm, incandescent bulb serves as a conceptual surrogate for the sun, transforming the exhibition into a spatial, multi-sensory installation.
